ADSB has introduced ‘perspective analysis’ to help teachers make evidence-based

Endover, Mass (June 2, 2022) – Adsby3, The award-winning social learning environment designed for K – 12 education, today launched Perspective Analysis, to help teachers make informed decisions based on multidimensional assessment data. The new tool integrates both learning evidence and gradebook scores in one place on the AdSB platform to provide teachers visibility in a variety of student assessments.

Edsby’s new analytics view enables teachers to visualize student performance through a new lens to identify trends, patterns, and areas of concern. This new extension within the Edsby class gives teachers extensive access to classroom-level analysis at no extra cost.

“I’m excited about this new feature because it will help teachers visualize data in new and powerful ways,” said Joe McRae, Area Leader, Math and Computer Science Program at Lakefield College School. “This will help me evaluate students as opposed to course learning goals throughout the year and identify opportunities that could improve students. I look forward to building my assessment with that in mind next year.”

Teachers can analyze their student data by values, proof tags, assessment types, units, weeks, months and more. The results can be summarized in a variety of ways and the teacher can choose what to include in the data.

“A good teacher teaches their students well and responds to their needs in a timely manner. The new Edsby analysis feature helps me do just that. It helps me to see the evidence I have collected for each kindergarten student in each of the four frames, “said Angela O’Neill, a teacher at the Durham Catholic District School Board. “I can determine which frame I need to focus on and see the strengths and needs of each student. It helps me to be responsive, and I know I can effectively communicate with parents using AdSB when reporting. “

“Data plays an important role as schools and districts continue to address unfinished learning in reading, math and other key subjects,” said John Myers, CEO of AdSB. “With this new analysis approach that aligns the assessment of consistent and constructive learning, no other similar platform provides teachers with a more holistic view of students’ educational progress and growth.”

Edsby teachers will be able to analyze their Edsby class perspectives for free.
